A Cover up of a High-Tech Weapons Debacle in Iraq?This video clip was part of a live broadcast on October 10 showing the inferno at the weapons storage facility at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad. About a quarter way into the clip a huge blast fills the entire night sky. Some have argued that this massive blast of white light, followed by the formation of a mushroom cloud, show all the attributes of the detonation of a small tactical nuclear weapon. Others question whether multiple arsenal explosions of this magnitude might have scattered the radioactive contents of depleted uranium shells. The scattering of depleted uranium is increasingly associated with major destruction to public health including Gulf War Syndrome, the epidemic plaguing many US veterans following the attack on the regime of Saddam Hussein in 1991. Does the failure of the commercial media to address dramatically conflicting reports about the effects of the massive explosions at FOB Falcon point to the existence of wartime disinformation and censorship?
